Veterans Training

Horses in Training

Horse Training:
We train horses that come to us either by donation or are rescued and we give them a new purpose in life. The horses learn to trust and connect with people.  Veterans work with us in the training process, which in turn helps those with PTSD and anxiety to heal as well. These horses will need to be desensitized to items or apparatus that may be used in a therapy session. It takes a very special horse to handle the events held at a Therapeutic Riding Center. Since they need to be gentle and willing to learn, a lot of care and training goes into assuring they will be safe for the riders and handlers.
